Cambridge Recording Studio At the heart of East Anglia

Located on the outskirts of Cambridge, Half-ton Studios have been providing professional recording, mixing and mastering services to bands and artists since 2007. From huge drum sounds - in our purpose built live room - through to intimate acoustic recordings, artists such as Lonely The Brave, Steven Adams, Captain and False Heads love the sound and the vibe of our studio.

As well as music recording we also record voiceovers, podcasts and host live performances for audiences, or for video, in our large live recording space.

Available as a dry hire (just the studio) or with a friendly, experienced engineer.

  • At Half-ton you’ll find knowledgeable and creative engineers, great-sounding rooms, top-quality microphones and some of the best analogue outboard equipment available.

    We use a large-format Audient ASP 8024 recording console, combined with the latest digital audio workstation software including Pro Tools 12, Ableton Live, Logic and Studio One. Our clients get a high-quality recording experience, experienced guidance and fantastic value for money.
